Free and Public DNS Servers List (Updated August 2015)
Your local ISP automatically assigns DNS servers when your DSL router or PC connects to the Internet... Using your local dns you can't access those sites which are blocked by your ISP.
Here is a list of free and Public DNS servers you can use instead of those, the best from them are Google and OpenDNS, you can find others too here:

Note: On some devices primary DNS servers are sometimes called as preferred DNS servers and secondary DNS servers are called alternate DNS servers. Keep a note of that!
